Chi Alpha Essentials -- We derive our group identity from 2 Corinthians 5:20 which says that, “we are therefore Christ’ ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.” Christ’s ambassador, or christou apostoloi in Greek, is shortened to the first letters “Chi” and “Alpha”, or XA. Our name is a constant reminder that each of us carry Jesus within us to bring Him closer to the people around us.
